About Patton Style

A couple of years ago I had a visitor in my house who was in his early twenties.  I had a display of a replica of General Patton’s gun on my shelf and he was admiring it. I asked what he thought of the General, and he said he had never heard of him.  Needless to say, I was flabbergasted. To hear that a young person hadn’t heard of him was infuriating. Not at him, but at our education system for allowing our historical figures and sacrifices to be lost.

I have four children.  Our last name is Patton. It is amazing that in the 75 years since World War II how many people now do not know who General Patton is, especially in this generation. My kids have always had a fascination with history and major historical events. It has been infuriating to watch the last few years and see monuments being taken down, and history being erased because people are “offended” by them. THIS IS OUR HISTORY! They are part of what made us what we are today.  It is mind boggling. Trying to explain this to my kids, and teach them what it is to be an American, to be patriotic and that the choices we make matter!! Many times in my life I have been accused of being too patriotic?!? How is that even possible?? But I’ve also been told my whole life that I’m honest and blunt. Some people like that, some people don’t. But I’d rather tell it like it is and offend some people than be fake.

I did not have the Honor of serving in the military, but let's face it, a lot of us didn't. I was always just your typical flag waving, freedom loving American.  I hope that's something you can relate to. As I said, my last name is Patton so I've always held a reverence for the famous man that shares it. I’ve always loved patriotic gear so I thought why not use my love of cool gear to teach people about who General Patton was? Along the way we will throw in some other gear thats just cool.   I always admire different styles of cool American gear while I'm out in public and always wanted to try my hand at designing and inspiring others to share their patriotism.

Thus the idea for Patton-Style was born.  Apparel with his signature style and attitude.  As we go along we will try to introduce things that we feel the man himself would have been proud of.  Loving America and sharing it, unafraid. I hope you find something you like. I hope it inspires you to be the kind of American our ancestors would be proud of.
